Questions patients ask before booking
Do I need a GP referral?
Not for self-paying patients. If you are using private medical insurance, check your insurer’s requirements first.
How much is a consultation?
£250 for the first appointment and £150 for follow-ups. Surgery is quoted as one fixed total including hospital, surgeon and anaesthetic fees.
Can a vasectomy be reversed after 10 or 15 years?
Often, yes. The time since the vasectomy can affect the chance of success and the type of repair needed — Mr Krishnan will be honest about your odds.
Is vasectomy reversal available on the NHS?
It is not routinely funded, so most patients have it privately. Exceptional funding is uncommon.
Will I go home the same day?
Usually. Most procedures are day cases; you will need someone to take you home after a general anaesthetic.
Which insurers do you accept?
Bupa (fee assured), AXA Health, Aviva, Vitality, WPA, Cigna, Allianz, Healix, Aetna, The Exeter, Benenden and more.
