What is TURP?

A camera-guided operation that removes the part of the prostate blocking your flow

TURP removes the inner part of the prostate through the urethra, with no external cut, so urine can flow freely again. It remains the most reliable operation for a significantly enlarged prostate.

Mr Krishnan has performed prostate surgery since becoming a consultant in 2008 and offers UroLift for men who want a less invasive option — so the choice is made on what suits you, not what is available.
